In the spirit of continual learning and building strong peer connections, Right To Play began a series of online Remote Training webinars for Community Mentors in January.

The series was curated based on requests from Community Mentors. The first three webinars engaged Community Mentors on a variety of topics:

At this Remote Training webinar, Community Mentors had the opportunity to:

  • Explore the impacts of their program
  • Learn strategies for engaging the broader community in their program
  • Better understand how outcomes can guide the structure of their weekly program

Held in partnership with Canucks Autism Network, this webinar helped Community Mentors:

  • Describe ‘invisible disabilities’ and how they can impact child and youth behaviour in programs
  • Demonstrate a range of coaching tools to support positive behaviour practices

  • Learn and share ways to create opportunities for youth to lead within programs
