2nd Annual Virtual Quiz: A Night of Stories, Friendly Competition and Fundraising Success!

On November 17, 2021 Right To Play Canada hosted its second annual Virtual Play Quiz: Trivia for Charity, to resounding success!

Whether it was learning to make signature cocktails (the classic Canadian Caesar), hearing stories from Right To Play Ambassadors, or taking part in the trivia itself, it was an exciting and inspiring night of fun competition, all in the name of a good cause.

Our host, Hockey Night In Canada’s Ron MacLean, was brilliant, uniting 154 guests across 26 teams online, sharing great memories, stories and conversations with our generous Right To Play Ambassadors and special guests. It was memorable to hear stories from our athlete guests on their experiences and the impact sport and play has had in their lives. We were so grateful to be able to share the impact Right To Play’s programs have in Indigenous Communities in Canada and around the world.

Despite social distancing, we all collectively came together virtually as a community to help protect, educate and empower youth, and successfully raised almost $250,000!

Ultimately, the trivia came down to a tie-breaker between The Western Union All Stars and the RBC CM team, with team captain Craig Hurl taking the victory for RBC! Congratulations, and thank you to all teams who participated!

A heartfelt and special thank you to National Bank and Scotiabank for being trivia round sponsors and to our Team Trivia kit suppliers Spring Mill Distillery, Walter Craft Caesar, The Incredible Project, GTA Selfies, and Sigma Promotions. We would be remiss if we didn’t thank our quizmasters at Quiz Quiz Quiz for running the whole show. We couldn’t have done it without you!
