On December 21 2025, the Parveen Elahi Girls' Sports Center officially opened its doors, creating a safe, inclusive space where thousands of young girls can play, train, and take part in extracurricular activities, many for the very first time.

Named in honour of Canadian Board Member Dr. Mehboob Elahi’s mother, the centre is a lasting tribute to the belief that every girl deserves the opportunity to play and thrive.

“For me, supporting girls’ empowerment through sport is deeply personal,” shared Dr. Elahi, “While my daughter has the freedom to pursue her passions in Canada, too many girls in Pakistan are still sidelined.”

Built in partnership with Right To Play, the Parveen Elahi Girls' Sports Center reflects a shared commitment to gender equality, confidence-building, and the power of play. With over 15 years of experience in Pakistan, Right To Play continues to strengthen learning, health, and life skills for children across the country.

The Parveen Elahi Girls' Sports Center would not be possible without the support of the Elahi Family and an additional 65 donors who have collectively raised over $110,000.
