Jake Lawrence is the Executive Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer at Power Corporation. Prior to this role, Jake was the Group Head and Chief Executive Officer, Global Banking and Markets at Scotiabank. Jake was responsible for the Bank’s Global Banking and Markets business line and strategy across its global footprint. Jake joined Scotiabank in 2002 and has held progressively senior roles in Finance, Group Treasury and Global Banking and Markets. Specifically, he was Co-Group Head of Global Banking and Markets with specific responsibility for the Capital Markets Business; Executive Vice President and Head of Global Banking and Markets in the U.S.; Scotiabank’s Deputy Treasurer as well as Senior Vice President, Investor Relations.

Jake is a member of the Advisory Council for Women in Capital Markets. With his two sons, he is actively involved with youth sports. He has been Chair of the Canadian Advisory Board for Right To Play since 2021.
