Bismark Boateng

Bismark Boateng was a Canadian Olympian and one of the country's top sprint athletes. Born in Accra, Ghana, he moved to Canada at the age of 14 and discovered track and field after initially playing competitive soccer. Since then, he has represented Canada on the international stage, including at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, the Commonwealth Games, and the NACAC Championships.
A graduate of York University with a degree in Kinesiology, Bismark has earned numerous national and international accolades, including gold in the 4x100m relay at the 2018 NACAC Championships and medals at the Jeux de la Francophonie. He has recorded a personal best of 10.14 seconds in the 100 metres, placing him among Canada's fastest sprinters.
Beyond competition, Bismark is passionate about inspiring young people to believe in themselves, embrace perseverance, and pursue their goals through sport. As a Right To Play Ambassador, he is proud to help create opportunities for children and youth to learn, grow, and build confidence through the power of play.
