Erica Wiebe

Freestyle Wrestling Olympic champion

Erica Wiebe is the 2016 Olympic Champion in the sport of Freestyle Wrestling. She was a member of the Canadian Wrestling National Team for 15 years and is an 8x National Champion, World University Champion, 2x Commonwealth Games Champion, and 2018 World Championships bronze medalist.

Erica is currently the Manager of Athlete Relations, Safe Sport and DEI at The Canadian Olympic Committee while previously working as a human capital consultant at Deloitte and an HR business partner at Neo Financial. She also continues to be involved in wrestling as a technical clinician, international commentator, and highly sought after keynote speaker.

As a passionate advocate for the power of sport, she volunteers her time as a youth wrestling coach and is the Vice-Chair of the Canadian Sport Institute Alberta Board of Directors. Since 2014, Erica has been an Ambassador for Right To Play. She began her ambassador journey by visiting schools to speak on Right To Play’s impact and in 2018, Erica was able to visit Right To Play programs in Kigali, Rwanda. She is excited to be joining the Canadian Advisory Board in 2025.
