Thank You to All Who Participated in This Year's #Rally4GirlsEd
On February 4, 2022, Right To Play Canada hosted its 2nd annual Rally For Girls’ Education virtual pep-rally to kick off International Development Week and a week-long challenge. Joined by members of university clubs from across Canada, and featuring special guests including Right To Play's CEO Susan McIsaac, Senator Chantal Petitclerc, Right To Play Country Director for Rwanda, Marie Khozi, and Canada's Minister of International Development, Hon. Harjit S. Sajjan, it was an engaging and thoughtful discussion on the necessity of supporting gender equity and girls' education worldwide. Thank you to Global Affairs Canada for their support in putting on this event!
As part of the event, the students and our guests took part in a game of Gender Equality Jeopardy. Congratulations to the Munk School of Global Affairs & Public Policy on their win! Check out the video below to test your knowledge.
To celebrate International Development week, students were asked to take part in a photo challenge highlighting a woman or girl who has inspired them to take their education to greater heights. Using #Rally4GirlsEd, join us for the remainder of International Development Week and raise your voice in support of girls' education!
