Are You Eligible?

Right To Play welcomes applications from eligible First Nations, Inuit, and Métis communities and Indigenous youth-serving organizations across Canada. Review the criteria below to determine whether your group is eligible to apply.

✓ Eligible Applicants Include

  • First Nation, Inuit, or Métis communities
  • First Nation, Inuit, or Métis (FNIM) Governing Body/Tribal Council
  • Incorporated non-profit organizations or registered charities serving FNIM children and youth
  • Registered schools or School Boards serving FNIM children & youth
  • Youth Project Partnership Applicants Only: Youth groups, councils, or advisory boards operating under an eligible trustee organization (e.g. First Nations, Inuit, or Métis community, school, registered charity, or non-profit organization) and supported by an adult staff member from the trustee organization.

X Ineligible Applicants Include

  • Individuals applying independently
  • Unincorporated or grassroots groups without an eligible trustee organization
  • Communities or organizations operating outside Canada
  • Communities or organizations that do not primarily serve First Nations, Inuit, or Métis children and youth (Ages 6-19)

  • Partnership Decisions: November 2026

Intake 2

  • Application Period: March 1, 2027 – May 1, 2027
  • Partnership Decisions: June 2027
