Celebrating our amazing community of supporters

On April 18, Right To Play, with our sponsor Scotiabank, hosted a fun event to celebrate our amazing community of volunteers, partners, donors, ambassadors, and staff! Hosted in downtown Toronto, it was a great chance for the Right To Play community to come together and celebrate the power of play.

The highlight of the event featured a screening of the documentary PLAY (2022), directed by Etienne Claret. Co-produced in collaboration with the FIS & Right To Play Switzerland, the film follows Right To Play Ambassador, Pat Burgener, as he visits our programs in Lebanon and sees firsthand the impact of play on children's lives.

It was so great to get the chance to share this work and spend time with the Right To Play community! Check out some photos below:

The Hockey Jersey

Thanks again to the evening's sponsor, Scotiabank. Scotiabank is on a mission to make hockey more diverse, more inclusive and more accessible for all. Their Hockey For All initiative aims to create lasting change in the sport by opening up the game both culturally and financially. In support of this mission, Scotiabank worked with author, Jael Richardson, and illustrator, Chelsea Charles, to create The Hockey Jersey: A new hockey story to inspire the next generation.

Because if young players don’t see themselves in the game today, how can they imagine themselves in its future?
