Educating girls can change the world.

Every day, millions of girls worldwide are denied access to quality education. Things like poverty, violence, poor infrastructure, and traditional norms and practices create barriers that exclude girls from learning. Yet, we know that girls education is one of the most powerful catalysts towards gender equity, health and economic development globally.

Another powerful catalyst: You.

This International Development Week (February 7-13, 2021) we’re mobilizing Canadians nationwide to Rally For Girls Education!

What is the Rally for Girls Education?

Rally For Girls Education is a virtual, cross-country pep-rally to raise awareness and inspire action for improving girls education in low-income countries globally. A live and interactive event hosted by TSN’s Kayla Grey and featuring appearances by Right To Play Ambassadors and special guests from the Government of Canada, Rally For Girls Education will also kick-off #Rally4GirlsEd, a week-long virtual challenge to mobilize Canadian youth around the call for global girls education.

Kick-off Event

#Rally4GirlsEd Virtual Challenge

From February 11-18, 2021, we’re challenging you to post a photo to your social media using the hashtag #Rally4GirlsEd and tell us the story of a female who has inspired you and expanded your education to global perspectives!

It could be anyone—a teacher, your mom, daughter, a coach, or your social justice idol. We want to know how they’ve inspired you to raise your voice in support of every girls’ right to learn.
